On the 4th June 2021, a trailer carrying cows failed brakes and rammed into several vehicles killing over 9 people at kwata flyover, Awka. The trailer driver escaped but was later apprehended while the trailer was set ablaze by angry youths. It’s not certain the fatality of this crash at the moment.

A truck carrying chippings lost control and entered a market killing two men injuring six people in Imo state on Saturday morning 1st May, 2021.
